Joan was a rockstar when she finally got her braces!
It was a lot more painful for her than we anticipated as she stood on them and took her first steps. Physical Therapy starts very soon and day by day she will improve. But just look at that straight foot! THANK YOU to everyone who has already helped ! She’s not quite ready to go back to school but what great progress she is making.

Joan's surgery was Dec. 18th. Her initial casts were removed on Jan. 8th. They measured her for braces which will be ready on Jan. 22 when we go back to the surgeon.
They will take the second casts off on the 22nd and we will start physical therapy that week. Her feet show definite improvement and we are excited to see the difference when she starts walking again! Joan has quite a family here in the US... Kenyans, Americans, travelers from around the country and the world! |
