Whenever Esther went to Childrens Hospital last year for her cancer treatments, she loved bringing home a blanket and a pillow case from Childrens' Hospital (usually compliments of Friends of Kids with Cancer.) I found out later that she was saving the blankets to take back to her friends in Kenya who needed to be warm. After her death, some of her friends' moms from Clark School in Webster Groves organized a blanket drive. Other friends from Nipher Middle School in Kirkwood added to it by making fleece blankets. So, I'll be taking 60 blankets with me to Kenya on Monday - I can't wait to gift them to Esther's friends in Kenya from her friends in St Louis! Love makes the hurt not quite so bad.- thanks for caring, friends. - Karen
